The Finch is a hard-working EDC utility/work knife that we think you’re really going to enjoy. Its solid build and Reate Knives pedigree are all we need to feel comfortable taking this knife out and thrashing on it. The reverse tanto blade shape furthers this notion – being one of our favorite all-around shapes – although this one could also be considered a Wharncliffe as the cutting edge is completely flat. This lack of belly allows the edge to really bite into the material you’re cutting which is especially nice in an everyday carry. The layered handle with its liner lock design is enough to fill the hand. Even if it may be a little compact for some, it’s still quite ergonomic and the deep carry bayonet clip creates no hot spots. The absence of any jimping causes us to hesitate in calling this a last-ditch tactical knife, but hey, everything is when the need calls for it.
