BGMAKOFOLDERSBZ: Mako Folder Serrated, 3D Bronze Skulls
Bastinelli Creations
Bastinelli Creations takes functional tools and boils them down to simplistic, useful designs with a little bit of style. They’re known for their Dragotac folding knife with its versatile flat ground Wharncliffe style blade and oddly shaped, yet wildly ergonomic handle. Many of their designs utilize this blade shape but all feature exceptional ergonomics and top-of-the-line materials.
The Mako Folder is just as its name implies; a folding version of the PicoloMako. This is a tactically designed folder with a serious amount of utilitarian functionality thrown in. Instead of the traditional hawkbill blade shape, you find a karambit design, this one has an upswept shape with a wave-type feature machined into the thumb ramp. This protrusion gives you the ability to draw and open the blade in one quick motion and also for pressure point control (think Yawara stick) that also can be utilized as a non-lethal striking device. The 2.6″ combo blade is made from N690Co stainless steel with a black PVD stonewashed finish. It can only be opened with the jimped protrusion tab as it does not have thumb studs or a flipper. The extremely ergonomic handle is made from bronze with a highly detailed 3D skull engraving manufactured in France by 2 Saints Tactical with a reversible pocket clip and a one-inch diameter pinky ring for maximum security during use. It is manufactured by Fox Knives in Italy, designed in collaboration with Doug Marcaida and Funker Tactical.
